Gorgeous photos - especially the first one of the sunset is stunning! I also like the ones of the women carrying the fruit. Simply beautiful.

Hello JM!

Many thanks for giving a glimpse into the life of these hardy people.

They are living in a beautiful land with greenery, a majestic river with abundant water and lovely breathtaking sunsets.

The menfolk are engaged in cutting bambboo from the woods and transporting them long distances for sale. I assume these jungles are not approachable by road otherwise they would have transported the bamboos by trucks
Or perhaps transporting bamboos by trucks is quite expensive.

The ladies and children earn some money by selling fruits grown in their backyards, eatables cooked by them, and attractive bedsheets or lungis (cloth tied around the waist) purchased from the nearby textile shop.

They have to wade in water to approach your boat and they have a very captivating smile. Some look anxious to sell their wares also.

In the end I wonder how much of their products they were able to sell!

Some of them might be engaged in fishing and getting some very good catch of tasty fishes.

I could have left out many other finer details which you would have seen and appreciated.

Great photos and they tell a story by themselves. Perhaps that is the reason why you have left out the brief notes.

Many thanks for sharing and giving me an opportunity to see what life is in this part of the world.

Have a wonderful day!

Thank you all for your comments.

I've spent one month in Burma 3 or 4 years ago. It was one the countries I most liked to visit ever!
The nicest people, stunning monuments and sceneries! History and culture are absolutely great! Shame on that military junta that rules Burma opressing the most wonderful persons you can meet...
