My mom found a tarantula here on our farm a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately she smashed it and then called me out to come look. She sometimes forgets that I like to take pictures of such things!

I'm not sure but I think there are different kinds of tarantulas...when I was a kid going to high school in Arizona, we find them and play with them. I don't recall anyone ever getting bit but the girls didn't like them at all! Especially when a boy would put one down the back of her blouse. No, not me! Sheesh!
