My mom found a tarantula here on our farm a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately she smashed it and then called me out to come look. She sometimes forgets that I like to take pictures of such things!
I'm not sure but I think there are different kinds of tarantulas...when I was a kid going to high school in Arizona, we find them and play with them. I don't recall anyone ever getting bit but the girls didn't like them at all! Especially when a boy would put one down the back of her blouse. No, not me! Sheesh!

You can be sure that I wouldn't try for a closer look at her eggs!! Terrific capture, JM! Have a good week! My best to your Mother!
Excellent picture, it looks very big. I wouldn't grab the egg.
Greetings,

Nice spider. I won't bother your eggs.
Great shot, but I don´t like Tarantella! ; )
Have a nice week!
Spiders are one creature that I keep as far from as possible. They give me the creeps! Diane
Awesome picture of an amazing creature.
Isso quer dizer que houve um macho que perdeu a vida... Ou porque foi comido ou porque é seu destino morrer algum tempo depois do acasalamento...
Tá mais que visto, no que a tarântulas diz respeito, qual é o sexo que domina...
