Impressive pictures... love how the tree surrounds the gravestone. Jewish cemeteries are especially interesting because there are so many layers of graves...
Yes, not just that gorgeous colour green of the moss, but that it is growing in, around, and over the tombstones. A most delicious find, Jose. With a quick imagination, one can almost see the mould on the headstone in your second image, eating away at the stone before one's very eyes.
Thank you for your loyal support of Taphophile Tragics. I appreciate it.
Great shot of the jewish cemetery in Prague. I was hit by the chaos of so many stones on such a little area. But for overgrowing by a tree on such way the stone must be very old indeed.

Look at that tree!!
I wonder just how old the one buried in the tree really is. Diane

The carvings on the headstones in the second shot are gorgeous, but the tree! oh what a fantastic find!
Looks like the tree is embracing the tombstone. Wonderful captures!

although it seems almost sad to have all these final resting places so jumbled together, it is surly a lovely sight!
Some different textures here, beautifully composed!I also love the green in your first image!

The tree and headstones seem to be sharing colour, art and texture...melting together! Amazing! And love the detailed inscription in the second photo!
So gorgeous! Love that shade of green. :)

I love the way that tree is almost eating that stone. Great pictures.

I can't help but wonder how many, if any, of these graves come from the WWII era.
Was there a fence around the cemetery? I hope so, 'cause so often people are just dying to get in!
Sorry, couldn't resist!
@Lowell:
Burials took place there between the 15th and the 18th centuries. And yes, there is a wall around the place.
i also found that somewhere around boston, a tree that "ate" a stone... really cool to see!
Olá boa noite
Ainda bem que alcançaste a percepção do que escrevi…
Será que posso colocar uma questão? O que se sente num lugar como esse?
