These are two extraordinary views of an extraordinary place. I hope that none of the artifacts and archeological sites suffer damage from the current unrest.
Dave, the Egyptian Museum in Cairo has already been vandalized but I really hope the authorities, whoever they are now (the army so far...), can prevent all sites from being damaged.
Beautiful pictures. I shudder at the thought of the museum and other important artifacts being vandalized ;-(
At last, one of your fantastic pictures of a place I have actullay seen (other than thje London ones). Keep them coming.
Amazing photos !!!Greetings
These photos are a great tribute to Egypt...Let's hope the degradations will be stopped before it's too late!
Oh, that's so sad to hear, JM!! I do hope some of these incredible sites can be saved!! It would be so terrible to lose them now!! Thank you for the amazing captures!Sylvia
Very nice, we were planning to go to Egypt this year but now we are in doubt. Hope everything calms down soon.Greetings,Filip
Beautiful Isn't it amazing that the colors are still so vibrant after all these centuries. I took a class in dyes and the natural dyes last the longest without fading. Amazing to me. MB
Superbes de netteté et de précision, ces photos !
Wow! So beautiful. It looks like my dreams of going to Egypt are becoming less and less possible. I will have to enjoy your photos. :)
That is beautiful, I hope it has not been damaged in the riots :( Diane
Quite incredible. You are so fortunate to have been able to visit these places. I certainly hope they are not destroyed in the current upheaval.

I'm hugely saddened to read your comment to Dave, JM... I had read that the people themselves were guarding against vandalism.
