The area behind the Altar has a chapel with a big book in a glass case with the names, written in fancy calligraphy, of every American soldier who died in the Battle of Britain. My first wife's uncle was one of them.
We went there and they allow relatives to view the book and they opened it to the page showing the name. I took a photo of the book and his name, and other photos of St. Paul's and we gave it to my ex wife's grandmother in a framed set so she could keep it on her bedroom dresser as a memorial of her late son.
These evening shots are fantastic! I love the building, but I think I was uninspired as far as getting any good pix of it. I'm happy to be able to see your nice pix. The lighted windows are fascinating. Does someone own a saguaro cactus?
There's amazingly little noise in these evening captures of St Paul's, JM. I don't own a tripod, but for my night shots I usually do set my camera down somewhere. Well done; you have a steady hand. Nice that it is so well lit; it's an impressive cathedral.

Please tell me you used a tripod! Night shots are my favorite kind and these are superb...esp. the first one. Be proud!
@Jacob: I never carry a tripod, you know I like to travel light: camera in the pocket! :-)
Beautiful! I love the color of the sky.
JM, I love how you captured the lights. Very...very worthy images of being published in a major magazine.

J'aime beaucoup le second cliché.
You night shots are just fabulous ... and hand held, even more impressive. I have not done much night shooting, must try someday.
