People are amazing beings. Do so much to be admired. But often can disappoint, too.

For a minute, I thought this was Ireland! All the time I've spent in Portugal, and I missed this! Beautiful!
Have a fabulous day!

Thanks for showing us this beautiful part of Portugal! I hope the islands remain as pristine for a long long time! Love to visit the Azores one of these days!

Incredibly beautiful shots. I spent a night in the Azores in February of 1957 while in the U.S. Navy, on the way to Rabat, Morocco.

Don't remember much except we almost crashed - I think we were flying the old 4-engine DC-3's...and got hit by a side wind coming in for a landing...we stopped right at the edge of the runway where the land dropped off to the ocean!

We stayed in some USAF barracks, and I remember something about goat's milk and goat's cheese.

I remember the Azores being very beautiful but I think I was shaking so hard I couldn't see anything very well!

These shots are of course beautiful, JM, but forgive me, I can't help but think about the devastation on part of the coast of Japan... and wonder how long it will take for that landscape to get back its original beauty.

@Francisca: I share the same feeling. Absolutely!

J'aime beaucoup la première, la brume lui donne un petit air irlandais

Totally amazing to see farmed fields right up to the edge and into the sea. Breath-taking. What is being grown?
