Red Pyramid At The End Of The Tunnel


This tunnel is the entranceway to the amazing Copán Museum of Sculpture. The pyramid is a replica of one found at the ruined Mayan city close by.

This image is so beautifully composed. Great colors and shadows. Even though the arch is almost black I can see a hint of light bathing the stones. The painted artwork in relief is not like anything I've ever seen before. Fascinating!
