Monkey River Town is a village of about 200 people in southern Belize at the mouth of the river with the same name.

I've never heard of Monkey River Town, very interesting photos and info. I'm like Tinsie the tarantula is just scary to me....Barb

Lovely peaceful place unspoiled by modernization. The informal way in which children are being taught is something very rare to find in towns.
