So interesting! And the people help see how big the temple is! Love the little benches, too, except it appears those men have eschewed the benches in favor of the floor.
I wonder what people will think several thousand years from now when they find all our temples filled with magical sculptures and signs?
amazing, great monument and great photo JM! I like how you are showing us the impressionant height of the walls by the contrast with the two sitting men!
What a sight! I would so love to travel here but, alas I don't think now is the right time. Hopefully, they will get their 'house' in order so that tourism can once again thrive. Ever since seeing Agatha Christie's "Death on the Nile" I've wanted to take a cruise on the Nile (sans the death part of course). Maybe someday.

WOW....thats a interesting place and a very good picture....good work again JM.
What a terrific capture and I do love your perspective, JM!! The size of the men in comparison to the height of the walls is awesome!!
Incredible! I really want to get to this place one day.
For the time being we are going to have to be satisfied with photos taken in Egypt! Sigh!
P.S. Thanks for the comment on my Antarctica blog ... somehow life got in the way of finishing up that blog, but I do hope to do so someday.
Leaves me wordless! So impressive!
God bless you!

Horus, o grande e mítico Horus.
Adorei!
Aposto que já sabias...
Those 2 small humans and the sharp shaft of light give the scene such an impressive scale. Beautifully composed!
Really, temple of Horus is amazing! I had never heard about this. Nice post.
This is one place I envy you, I studied Egyptian art more than half a century ago.
This I would REALLY like to see. One would feel pretty dwarfed in there.
i like it - a lot!
Have a nice Saturday!
