The faces express a mixture of kindness, curiosity, wonder, and even a little "hostility'" the woman with a baby on her back on the right side of the photo.

They all look so worried. No wonder with the situation there. Such beautiful, careworn people.

They do indeed seem to express a variety of emotions and what a terrific capture, JM, as always! Hope you have a great weekend. Since I'm unable to solve the problems with my blog, I'm giving up for now, but will continue to visit whenever I can. I'll miss the fun, but the frustration of the past week has been too much!!

Wonderful capture. It makes me wonder why they are all sitting there and what are they thinking.

Looks at those faces! What a picture. And what tales those various people could tell. Fascinating!

Reminds me of a group of locals who were sitting like this in the plaza at Ollantaytambo, waiting for transportation to their village in the mountains. Great expressions ... and lots of "life lived" lines on those faces.

This is one place I always dreamt of going. But, I don't think it's the same anymore after the Chinese occupation. And I agree with the other commenters; the variety of facial expressions is extremely compelling.
