Giraffes whose lives have crossed...perfect capture!

Did you paint those markings on them?? I have never seen giraffes that look like that. Definitely unusual.

Of all the animals I saw in Selous, Tanzania, I liked the giraffes the most. I hadn't realized there was such a variation in their markings. These are beautiful.

@Arija and Lindsay: Check the diferente markings of several subspecies: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Genetic_subdivision_in_the_giraffe_based_on_mitochondrial_DNA_sequences.png

What an incredible capture! Looks as though they were posing just for you! How interesting to learn that there are different markings on subspecies. I've never seen these before! Terrific!!

The one on the right, named Magnique, said, "I'll see you back at the ranch."

The one on the left, named Terrique, responded: "Not if I see you first!"

Magnique said, "How would you see me, I'm going to be hiding?"

Terrique replied: "Please! You've got such a big head it will show over the trees!"

Magnique said: "Aw, c'mon. Mom always said you were the one who had a big head."

Terrique: "Yeah, but she also said you were the one with your head in the clouds!"

And they went their separate ways.
