@Lowell: No, I didn't eat there because the restaurant was owned by the government - that bloody military junta - and I refused to give them a dime during the month I spent there. Glady, the Lonely Planet guide had a list of every private business such as hotels, restaurants, shops, transportation companies, etc, etc, and I've only dealt with those. However, I tried to visit this restaurant but a military meeting was taking place there and I was not allowed to go in.
I had to come back and look at this photo again. That's such an unusual structure. I agree about the autocrats running the country. What a shame. We never learn a damn thing!
GASP! That is a gorgeous image! It really does hit every note perfectly: color, composition, lighting, mood, romance, story, and I'm sure I'm leaving out a million other reasons to love it. Unforgettable...

So beautiful, with the reflections on the still water. It appears to be floating on the backs of large ducks.
So peaceful...
Beautiful light and reflections!
Have a nice week!
Such a beautiful shade of blue!
This is beautiful but I think I would have some trepidation in traveling to Myanmar these days.
Such perfect peace and beauty.

I've never seen anything like this before! Amazing and so peaceful looking. Your photo looks like something out of a story book.
A romantic postcard!
