The white-faced capuchin monkeys are fast, clever, smart, and willing to engage humans if the result is food for them. I have seen them jump from the trees onto our boat and pry the fingers of my brother-in-law one by one to open his playfully clenched fist hiding a piece of banana.

It is no wonder that these monkeys are used by organ grinders to beg money from spectators.
