Norbulingka Palace



 Traditional summer residence of the successive Dalai Lamas from the 1780s up until the 14th Dalai Lama's exile in 1959.
Lhasa, Tibet

Lowell, it's a museum. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the Chinese use it for other purposes.

I just watched a PBS special about the Dali Lama. What an honor it must have been to visit this place.

A site/sight I want to see with my own eyes. What a serene looking place for the leader of Tibetan Buddhism (and contrast, say, to the Vatican).
