Good for you! I try to avoid high places. I give you lots of credit for your adventurous spirit and your bravery. Are those bones I see? Yikes!
I imagine this is pretty high. What takes you to all these places anyway? I envy your travel diary!
@Lowell:It's a yak skull and white scarves (to welcome you).@Halcyon:It's 17,125 feet.
High, very high.I like it.You are lucky man.
This place is on my wish list . Will sure make it sometime incoming years .
Not sure what the highest is that I have been. Great photo and I am sure it was an interesting trip. Diane
It looks so other worldly!17,125?! Wow, I don't know if my brain would explode at that altitude. Beautiful and a bit haunting.
I could imagine how amazing the view would have been :)Happy 2012!
Impressive landscape...and bones! :)
Oh, how beautiful! I'd love a chance to be on top of the world!! Superb capture! What wonderful travels you have had, JM!Sylvia
It must be a very special feeling, we have never been above 4.000m except in an airplane.Greetings,Filip
Mine was just 2.400m in Furka Pass... I wonder what it feels like breathing at more than 5.000m!God bless you!Cezar
I hope I'll make it up there some day!!
nice shot...lovely place it seems..!!!http://sushmita-smile.blogspot.com
A yak skull? That is very interesting. 17,000 feet is very high. I've been at 14k plus and I thought that was something!
JM, Did you have to mountain climb to the this very cool spot?
Oh my congratulations you conquer my dream ^_^ Thanks for the visit I do appreciate it.
wow! nice landscape.
Julie and I are making our first trip into the Himalayas later this year, but to Bhutan. Tibet and Nepal are on our list.
you could almost touch the clouds.
Well, you've beaten me downunder here in Australia by several thousand metres!!!
You're a mysterious man, José... I've noticed how you do NOT answer questions... LOL! This is high, indeed. I guess there's no point asking whether you traversed the Friendship Highway by car or bike...? LOL!
@Francisca: LOL! @Jean and Francisca: I traversed the Friendship Highway in a Landrover (with a chinese driver)! :-)
Awesome. This must be in or near Lhasa. The air must have been rare-did you have any breathing problems?
How many visas did you need for that? My son only made it last year to India, at the foot of the Himalayas.
