Our Lady of the Conception Church

Dating back to 1673, this church is located on a small fortress built to defend the village of Carrapateira from arab and pirate attacks.

It's quite beautiful. And your pictures are stunning. I suppose this was for the soldiers at the fort. I love the titles "they" come up with sometimes.

Each image is so striking. There's something really clean about the white and blue, and such an interesting shape the stones make around the doorway.
