These are gorgeous creatures. But Mother Nature really screwed up...in order to survive, these things must eat other living creatures who also eat living creatures in order to survive, who also...well, you get the point...

Doesn't make much sense. In fact, it seems rather horrible.

Sorry...I guess I don't like that scheme of things very much...

Thanks for your encounter and artistic skill.

It's wonderful enough to be natural posture of wise mother and innocent children.

I was away in Italy for several weeks and did not catch up with your posts until now. These are outstanding photos. On our photo safari in Tanzania on which we saw lots of animals, we saw only one group of cheetahs. And they were partially hidden in the brush. You captured them very well.

The Cheetah is my favorite big cat. When I lived in San Diego, I used to take my packed lunch, go to the Wild Animal Park every Saturday, and
sit at a picnic table next to the cheetah enclosure. He would walk over, and lie next to the fence 3 feet away. People would walk up to the enclosure looking for him, saying, "The cheetah is always hiding". (I told him, "Your secret is safe with me".) I'd stay and chat over an hour, and we'd both watch them train the elephants in the next enclosure.
