Islamic Fishermen Village

Small settlement, probably seasonal, dedicated to the exploitation of marine resources.
First settlement of fishermen in the Muslim period (12th-13th centuries) being investigated in the current national territory.
Carrapateira, Vicentine Coast, southwestern Portugal

WOW!! Love the new header Jose!! I can guess in which country that picture was taken. :)

One wonders why the vilage was abandoned. What a wonderful view it has.

Portugal is one of the places I have not been to either. That water looks great for diving and/or snorkeling.
