The Temple of Horus

The best preserved major temple in Egypt is located in the city of Edfu and was dedicated to the falcon god Horus. It was built over a 180-year period (237 BC - 57 BC), outlasting six Ptolomies and has laid buried to its lintels until the 1860s.
