Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch is the second oldest european settlement (1679) in the Western Cape province of South Africa, situated about 50 kilometers east of Cape Town. It is famous for its wine industry.

Whine, whine, whine! Oops, you said "wine industry"! Sorry... ;-)

And I see another bell tower.

'Tis a beautiful place, JM!

Is there anywhere you haven't been. You're not the guy who writes those travel guides, are you?

I love seeing your travel photos!

Now this looks just like home. :) I love Stellenbosch and the winelnads. Nowdays a lot of people are getting married on these small estates they have here. How handy to have the wine brought up from the cellars. :)

Wonderful pictures Jose. I have not been there for about 8 years now and time I went again.

gracias!

I've heard of these Slave Markets and perhaps, read about them too. I'm glad that Filipinos were never treated like slaves during the Hispanic rule. In fact, the Spaniards colonization of the country helped removed the slavery system that once dominated Pre-spanish Philippines. In some way, we are much grateful to Spain because in the first place, they were the ones who made the philippine island a united country.
