This looks not unlike the Crystal River/Homossassa area here in central Florida. The green water is a bit different, though as are probably the critters living in that water. :-)
It is awesome that old ancient canals like these are not yet changed by civilization. Even the entrance of the canals is quite mysterious-looking! Have you sensed Quetzalcoatl?

The boat looks very different, but otherwise this canal, with the mangroves, looks much like Palawan in the Philippines.
