What an awesome, moving capture, JM! I love the fisherman's wives and so perfect against the evening sky! Wow! There must have been many of them waiting for their men to come home and one can feel the excitement and the anxiety. Enjoy your weekend!

These are superb pieces of sculpture, and they convey so well the sorrow and fear of these fishermen's wives who see their husbands and sons sailing away, hoping that they would return safely! I love this type of modern art!

I find this unbearably sad...are they weeping and wailing that their men have gone to sea?

Or maybe I'm very wrong...they're waving their arms in jubilation their fisher men are heading into port ...

Fantastic sculpture!

I grew up in a fisherman's village, so the mood the women exude speaks to me.
